Game Discription:
Over the years, our sceptred isle has been the birthplace of many great games. But while Grand Theft Auto has gone on to be a global phenomenon, Burnout’s had people crashing their cars all over the world, and Ms Croft’s iconic curves have never been more recognisable, there’s one small, sarcastic wizard that’s been brushed to the side a little during the past decade-and-a-bit. He has not received anywhere near the level of attention that he should have. Step forward, Simon the Sorcerer.
But while the improved quest system has helped, it would be nice if there were more of a reason to play through the game in the first place. Unfortunately, the plot just isn’t involving enough, the puzzles seem to work against the player, rather than provide a challenge to lead you through the game, and the humour that usually sparkles throughout has all but dried up. If you’re a die-hard point-and-click fan, you may find this a worthwhile romp, but it’s just not Simon as we remember him.
